Two E-Coast High-Tech Successes Merge

TTLC Internet and Northeast Internet Publishing
Combine Strengths to Multiply Client Solutions

(Dover, NH)  TTLC Internet & IT Solutions, a premier New Hampshire-based provider of high-speed Internet and Information Technology (IT) Solutions, has merged with NorthEast Internet Publishing of Dover, a developer of web sites, content and web applications.

"Prior to acquiring NEIP,” said TTLC Chief Operating Officer Stephen Viel, “TTLC did not have a dedicated web development effort in-house. We were outsourcing most of our web development to companies like NEIP. And when we saw the opportunity to bring them under our wing and offer the caliber of design and project management that NEIP offers, it was a no-brainer.”

NEIP founder Sheyne R. Branconnier agreed. “It’s a great partnership, because we’re both so service-oriented and have such complementary strengths. TTLC understands everything about what’s called the back end – the technical stuff, getting data to the (user’s) desktop.  We (NEIP) understand the front end,” including web design, online commerce, customer relationship management, and business automation.

“The L. L. Bean of Internet Solutions”

“Together, we offer the perfect solution for any business,” said Branconnier. “If you think of the Internet as a digital wilderness – as many companies do – we’ve become the L. L. Bean of Internet solutions. One-stop shopping that answers all your questions, provides all your supplies, and creates solutions for all your needs.”

Viel pointed out a unique benefit of the marriage. “It makes TTLC a full service provider with in-house quality control.” The two companies have been working together for nearly four years, he added. “(Their niche) was the last piece of the pie that TTLC was missing to make us a one-stop supplier of complete IT and Internet-related development services.”

NEIP, said Viel, “has a pool of talent that we only dreamed of – not only graphic designers, but database developers and solid project management experts."

For clients and customers, the merger makes TTLC “a one-phone-call solution, a single point of accountability,” Branconnier said. “What frequently happens is, if there’s something wrong with your website, you have to call your hosting provider.  Then you have to call your dial-up provider, then you have to call your website (designer). Now there’s only one call to make. You just call TTLC.  It’s all complete. We handle it all, because we’re all of them. We’re all of the above.”

The two local companies have a long history of being intertwined. In fact, their roots spring literally from the same soil. Back in the mid-1990s they shared a Hampton Falls, NH office space.

“We were going to take all the space actually, and then we heard that TTLC Internet was moving in there,” said Branconnier. The two firms decided to share not only the space but the costly high-speed T1 phone lines that connected both companies to the then-young Internet.

Each company grew quickly, in different sectors of the fledgling Internet industry. TTLC was already a regional leader in providing Internet connectivity and data delivery to businesses, and taming their IT (Information Technology) nightmares. This “back end” sector could be compared to a city’s infrastructure: laying the pipes, constructing the framework and installing the wiring, plus having the expertise to keep it all connected and flowing.

NEIP, on the other hand, focused on the so-called “front end”, web content, consulting and e-commerce. Their forte includes designing company web sites and developing e-commerce applications for specific business needs. For example, they have created company web sites that not only allow customers to make purchases online, but automate their business process and deliver customer relationship management (CRM). They also create “sticky” content that captivates visitors and makes them want to return again and again.

The merger bolsters TTLC’s core capabilities in four critical areas:

  • Technology to enable a web site's functionality, making it do what the company wants it to do.

  • Branding defines corporate or product identity by association with a memorable concept, image, slogan or even sound, like Intel’s distinctive five-note musical signature.

  • Marketing brings traffic to a company’s web site. This includes banner advertising, affiliate programs and search-engine placement, among others.

  • Strategy Consulting guides the development of a company’s web site from beginning to end. This helps identify and prioritize a company's on-line objectives, weighing each against the measurable results it will deliver.

They’ve Got Connections

But none of that matters if people can’t access your website, and that is TTLC’s core competency. They make sure clients stay connected, via either dial-up, high-speed DSL, and the latest development, TTLC’s new wireless connections. TTLC is the first on the Seacoast to offer wireless Internet service, which delivers lightning-fast wireless Internet connections – without wires or cables – at costs comparable to DSL.

TTLC’s other specialties also include:

  • IT Solutions, utilizing their staff of Microsoft-certified IT professionals to evaluate, implement and manage the process of keeping companies connected and productive.

  • Web Hosting via either the Windows 2000 or Linux operating systems.

  • Online Training and Certification
