(Portland)      Performance Knowledge, the leading Maine-based provider of customized technology learning solutions, has appointed a new leader and relocated to new facilities.

Doug Rowe has joined as the company's new Director of Business Development. Before joining Performance Knowledge, Rowe was Channel Partner Manager at HCI Systems, Kennebunk and General Manager at Productivity Point International in Portland.

"In today's competitive environment, standard off-the-shelf training classes don't cut it anymore," said Rowe. "Learning must be directly related to our customers' use of the computer to support their specific business processes. Our mission is to enhance the performance of your workforce. I am extremely excited to introduce this fresh approach to computer training to Maine."

Rowe has over 20 years experience in technology and training, including successful stints at Liberty Mutual, Pansophic Systems, HCI Systems, WorldCom, Productivity Point International and UNUM.

New location

Performance Knowledge has moved to a convenient new location at 600 Roundwood Dr., Scarborough. The 10,000 square foot facility is just off Payne Road at Rt. 114, opposite Shaw's. The new location is easily accessible from both Maine Turnpike exits 6 and 7.

The facility boasts six well-equipped classrooms and ample free parking. Because of the company's commitment to maximizing student-instructor interaction, class size is restricted to no more than 12 students.

Performance Knowledge is a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center -- one of only two in the entire state of Maine -- as well as an Authorized Prometric Testing Center, and a representative of SmartForce, the world's largest and most experienced e-learning company.
